Every Friday evening 4-6pm – city centre venue
Yambo is our youth support service for young people aged 12-19 who are affected by HIV. Young people can be HIV+ themselves or have a family member who is HIV+, and nobody has to disclose their own status unless they are happy to do so. The group meets every Friday from 4-6pm and offers social activities, support and information about a range of issues. Youth worker Evelyn supports individual young people and family members who want to know more about what the service offers.
Yambo has strong links with other HIV support groups for young people across the UK, and has met up with groups in Manchester, Barnsley, Stoke-on-Trent, Luton and London.
If you’re interested in finding out more about the group, you can contact Evelyn, Louise or Libby using the details below. All calls are treated with the strictest confidentiality.

Yambo is brilliant. I love coming to the group!
Life is a little bit easier now that I have met some young people like me.
