Charity Manager

Salary: JNC professional range, pts 19-22 (£28,123 – £30,601) pro rata

Hours: 22.5 – fixed term contract to April 2019

Location: Sheffield

Responsible to: CEO

SAYiT is seeking to appoint a dynamic, creative and experienced manager with a commitment to empowering marginalised young people to become active citizens – particularly those who identify as LGBT+.

You will have the vision to jointly lead and represent the organisation and the experience to develop the leadership and management of staff in support of the charity’s objectives.

As a charity of almost twenty years standing we are looking for a charity manager committed to improving service delivery, enabling us to deliver greater improvements and positive outcomes in the lives of LGBT+ young people and ensuring their active and effective engagement and participation.

We would like to hear from you if you have a deeply held commitment in promoting the rights of young LGBT+ people; you are prepared to be challenged; you can work to deadlines and you can produce high quality work. This is a small organisation and the work brings enormous satisfaction. We need someone who can bring project management and leadership skills, as well as possessing the self-awareness and maturity to be able work effectively in a team.

Volunteer Co-ordinator

Salary: JNC pts 11-14 (£20,796-23,721 FTE)

Hours: 14 hours per week – fixed term contract to April 2021

Location: Sheffield

Responsible to: Charity Manager

SAYiT is seeking to appoint a dynamic, creative and experienced Volunteer Co-ordinator to have operational management of adult and youth volunteers within the charity.  Applicants will have a commitment to empowering marginalised young people to become active citizens – particularly those who identify as LGBT+.

As a charity of almost twenty years standing we are looking for a Volunteer Co-ordinator committed to improving service delivery, enabling us to deliver greater improvements and positive outcomes in the lives of LGBT+ young people and ensuring their active and effective engagement and participation.

Volunteers

We are always keen to have volunteers that assist the youth groups as well as adult mentors that provide support to individual young people.

Additionally, young people have opportunities to volunteer through our range of programmes including Duke Of Edinburgh Award Scheme, Young Leaders, Gay/Straight Alliance work, Peer Supporters and Peer Educators.
